Capital.com Names Former IG Executive Mogamat Sedick de Villiers South Africa Marketing Manager
Capital.com has appointed Mogamat Sedick de Villiers as its Marketing Manager in South Africa. The former Webull and IG Group executive will lead the company's local marketing strategy and customer acquisition efforts.
De Villiers announced his appointment on LinkedIn. He said he joined Capital.com in October 2026 to oversee marketing in the South African market.
In the role, he will manage brand development, marketing spend, customer acquisition, and commercial growth. He'll work with Capital.com's local and global leadership teams, as the company reported trading volume growth in the first half of 2026.
He will also oversee marketing channels, agency relationships, and local planning. He'll report to both Capital.com's South African CEO and its global chief marketing officer.
Before joining Capital.com, de Villiers was Head of Marketing at Webull South Africa from May to October 2026. He previously spent nearly five years at IG Group, where he started as a Marketing Executive in September 2021 and became Marketing Manager in July 2023. The company has also seen leadership changes, including the departure of digital assets executive Laurence Willows.
Earlier in his career, de Villiers held marketing, public relations, and customer acquisition roles at Wonga. He also worked as a freelance digital marketing consultant for the company from August 2020 to September 2021.
De Villiers earned a Bachelor of Technology in Marketing from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and completed further digital marketing studies at the University of Cape Town. Capital.com has also hired former IG senior trader Neeraj Radia as principal dealing.
