ICM MENA Names Ahmed Kamal CEO

ICM.com, a retail forex and CFD broker, has promoted Ahmed Kamal to CEO of its ICM MENA division.

Kamal joined ICM in March 2019 as a business development manager. Since then, he has held several regional roles, including senior business development manager, team leader, and most recently, regional manager. Before joining ICM MENA, he worked for several years at JMI Brokers.

The appointment follows the departure last year of ICM MENA Senior Executive Officer Wassim Anastasiou and several other executives, who joined rival broker Traze.

ICM Founder and Chairman Shoaib Abedi said Kamal's promotion recognizes his contributions to the company and his leadership in developing its MENA team. Abedi added that Kamal's experience and understanding of clients will support ICM's plans to expand its presence in the region.

Kamal said he plans to build on his seven years with the company by strengthening relationships with traders and partners across MENA and maintaining ICM's service standards.

ICM MENA holds a Category Five license from the UAE Capital Market Authority, which allows it to promote and introduce financial products and services.

ICM.com is controlled by founder and CEO Shoaib Abedi through Luxembourg-based holding company ICM Holding SARL. The group operates licensed subsidiaries in the UAE and Switzerland, as well as an offshore entity in Mauritius.
